OUR MISSION STATEMENT

The second I agree to accept your money, I work for you. During that time, I have one job: to take photographs that you will be proud to display. You are my only job. My entire focus will be on you, and whomever or whatever you ask me to photograph.

 

THE SERVICES I PROVIDE

Photography Services:

I can provide you or your company, sports team etc with outstanding photographs in a wide array of ways. First, I can attend your events and simply start shooting photographs from any and all angles. In this way, you will gain a unique perspective on your event, with no posed photographs at all. The vast majority of people, animals etc will not even realize they are being photographed so the end result will be relaxed instead of contrived. What you end up with are honest photos of people at their best: relaxed. I can do this with one or more photographers working at the same time, in some cases giving you the same instant in time from more than one perspective.

Another service I can provide is the 'follow me' program. Perhaps your child or family member is taking part in a once-in-a-lifetime sports event or tournament. Perhaps a special birthday or other event. I can follow that person throughout the day (or days) leading up to that special time so that every moment leading up to it can be recorded and the end result can be custom-bound in a hard-cover book. The list of services I can offer is limited only by our (and your) imagination. I assure you that I will work hard to make your special day or event something to truly remember.

My rates for these services start at $30 per hour and would be adjusted accordingly if more than one photographer is required. Additionally, if the event takes place over several hours or days, special rates will apply, costing you less per hour. Send me an email to discuss any special events and a job quote.

Portraits and Prices

All photos can be taken wherever you're most comfortable. It can be in your home, or a location that is somehow special to you or your family, or it can be done in the studio, where we can utilize chromakey technology to create an incredible image, the likes of which will amaze you. You've seen what chromakey can do every time you watch a weather report on television. Using this system, I can put you into almost any situation or background you choose.

I am also able to go to your work, sports field (or rink) or to a park or beach if you'd rather. It makes no difference to me. Only two things matter: that you are comfortable in your surroundings, and the end results.

In the days prior to any photo shoot, I will provide you with any information you may need as to what clothing you should wear, or what make-up should be applied. The ultimate choice in clothing etc will be up to you but we can make suggestions as to what will or will not work (busy, heavily printed clothes often take the eye away from what's important: you).

A sitting fee of $30.00 is due upon my arrival. This is in addition to the cost of photographs, although one 5X7 print is included in this price. I will deduct your sitting fee from any photo order totalling $125.00 or more.

Photo packages start at $50.00 (includes one 8X10 of your choice).

Sports packages start at $60.00 (includes one 8X10 of your choice).

All photo packages will be put together to suit your needs and price range. And remember, I will never charge a premium price for any single photo.

All prices assume a shooting location within 30 kilometers of Brookfield, Nova Scotia. If I have to travel beyond 30km, than travel charges (by car) will apply at .40 per kilometer from Brookfield, to be paid upon arrival, prior to photo shoot.

 

 

About a week after your photos have been taken, you will be given the choice of seeing printed proofs or if you prefer, on a secure webpage only accessible by your own unique password. Once you make your photo choices and decide how many you want, payment must be made in full at time of order, but make no mistake, you will see the final photo before you place your order.

A package can be designed for your specific needs and price range.

 

ABOUT YOUR PHOTO SESSION

The most important thing to remember about your photo session is that it is exactly that: your photo session. Whether I'm taking photos of you, your children or your pets, I want everyone to be relaxed and comfortable, which is why I like to take the photos where everyone is most comfortable.

It is best if everyone wears shades of the same color. The eye will be drawn to the brightest part of the photo, so if five people are wearing brown shirts, and one is wearing white, the one in white will stand out from the rest. Clothing doesn't have to match and it doesn't have to be the same color, but it should be shades of the same color. If earthtones are desired, than all shades of earthtones would be all right as well.

I encourage you to have your pets in your photos. They are an important part of your family, and, well quite frankly, I love animals and I like to photograph them. You should keep a couple of things in mind though: first, there should be someone available who knows your pet, who can keep control of them while I take photos they are not a part of. As well, to avoid accidents, please don't feed or water them for a couple of hours prior to their photo session. Bring along a toy for them.

 

ATTENTION MODELS

If you live in the Truro area, and would like to update or build your portfolio, I am occassionally available for TFP shoots either at your home or a remote location. Models must be 18 or over and provide a valid driver's license or other government-issued ID and will be required to sign a model release. All models under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent who must provide current government-issued identification. The parent or guardian must sign a model release form for the model. Models under the age of 18 must have a parent or gardian sign that release: that means boyfriends, friends etc cannot accompany them on the shoot or act as 'escorts.'
